In a Pod is a sculptural painting constructed of paper and plexiglas on canvas board.

Torn watercolor paper inserted into grooves cut into the canvas board create the pod shape and contrasts with the smooth seed shapes within. Light and shadow reinforce the play between the smooth and jagged elements and allows the work to change character depending on the light source.
